The Game of Life is About Immersion
How OP Emotions Ruin Your Enjoyment of the Game
Emotions are powerful. So much so they break the game… because they take you out of the game.. they break your immersion, and thus disallow you from enjoying yourself.
You can have dissociative emotions like apathy, disinterest, and lack of agency or impotence that makes you feel like you’re outside of the game… viewing life from outside of your own body.
Things happen to you, and your body just takes it…
Dissociating is like being somebody elses training dummy.
On the otherside of the spectrum of Immersion-breaking emotions are those that trap you inside yourself. The arrogant pride and wallowing self-misery and pity…
Self absorption is like being an NPC with terribly scripted lines…
Depression and hate are so powerful because they utilize both extremes to keep you out of the game.
The solution? Simple…
Realize that this is an Infinite Game… not a Finite Game.
This change of mindset will almost surely put you on the right track to level your character indefinitely.
An infinite game means an infinite number of opportunities and that everyone is a winner. As long as you're playing this game, you're winning this game.
The problem is that so many of us forget or never learn that this is an infinite game, so they play according to the rules of the finite game.
In that game, there are winners and losers, there are limited choices and limited chances and limited resources, therefore the first to get those can stop everyone else… and so the only way to win is to take from someone else.
In a world where everyone is playing the finite game, most of them get nothing… or worse.
And so, its best to play the right game.
The game is more fun when you only lose by not playing. And you can win ever greater, at every level…
